Timothy Newsom,
Director, MarTech & Communications

Timothy Newsom is the Director of Marketing and Communications at Capital for Change, where he leads branding, marketing, and public relations to build brand awareness. He also serves as Executive Liaison to the Staff Engagement Committee and was recently recognized as a 2024 Black Marketing Association Honoree.

Previously, Timothy was Marketing and Membership Manager at the renowned Mory's Association, a Yale University club established in 1849. There, he planned and hosted events such as concerts, talks, special gatherings, and club history tours. Timothy restructured the club's membership offerings and event programming through the "Mory's and You" Yale University DEI initiative, which achieved significant success. Mory's is recognized as one of the oldest and most prestigious country clubs in the United States.Timothy's contributions were instrumental to its ongoing success.

 

Before joining the Mory's Association, Timothy was the Principal and Founder of Integrated Marketing and Design Services (IMDS). In 2002, Timothy founded Integrated Marketing and Design Services, a marketing firm specializing in brand development, PR, graphic design, e-commerce, and technology solutions. Its slogan, "Where Technology Meets the Creative Process," reflected the firm's mission and focus on innovative strategies that help businesses grow. Over the years, Timothy worked with a wide range of clients, including Yale University, Mory's, NAACP, EveryDay Rachael Ray Magazine, American Express, and DIY TV.

Timothy recently completed the Executive Digital Marketing Certificate program at the George Washington University School of Business. He also holds Executive Education Certificates in Digital Marketing Automation, Design Thinking, UX/UI Management, and Strategy. He earned a degree in Business from Charter Oak State College. He is a Certified Mediator and ADR Specialist who has mediated hundreds of conflicts. He is also a co-author of training systems designed to equip individuals with conflict-resolution skills to foster peace and understanding.
