For over 35 years, Capital For Change (C4C) has been Connecticut's premier energy conservation lender, providing low-cost financing through various programs for local contractors to conduct energy-efficient property improvements. Since 1979, C4C has offered the state's Energy Conservation Loan Program, delivering over $100 million in financing. As of June 1, 2011, C4C also began offering the HES Residential Financing sponsored by the CT Energy Efficiency Fund. This financing allows energy-efficient home improvements to assist Connecticut's homeowners to decrease and stabilize household utility costs and to aid Connecticut contractors in obtaining and providing jobs, as well as improving the environment.
C4C recognizes that providing lower-cost financing through lasting and productive relationships with qualified contractors will increase program performance and customer satisfaction. Therefore, C4C has developed a statewide network of qualified contractors that can use the loan programs offered by C4C to develop new business opportunities. Contractors that qualify as a C4C Contractor will be authorized to perform work financed by CT Energy Efficiency Residential Financing and Energy Conservation Loans, as well as other C4C financing programs.

C4C participating contractors can offer financing to homeowners for implementing qualified energy-efficiency improvements. Up to 100% financing of eligible products is available, depending on loan product choice and borrower qualifications.
